Windows Live Essentials Suite Now Available for Download

The wait is finally over. You can head over to explore.live.com to download the new version of Windows Live Essentials suite that includes Photo Gallery, Movie Maker, Live Writer and other great programs.

But before you hit the download button, here’s something you should know.

Windows Live Essentials

There are two separate installers for Windows Live Essentials.

The main installer – wlsetup-webd.exe – is the one that will install all the Windows Live programs on your computer in one go. The other installer – wlsetup-webc.exe – will let you choose the programs that you want to install on your machine.

If you are someone like me who doesn’t use Messenger or Live Mail (as I am on Office Outlook 2010), the second installer probably makes more sense.

Also, you can only install the Windows Live Essentials programs if you are running Windows 7 or Windows Vista. It is not supported on XP.
